The summer program offers a four-week program designed to expose urban youth to the veterinary and agricultural sciences. The program developed by Dr. Courtnye Jackson allows for future students to explore the many opportunities when pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine. Career exploration includes small and large animal medicine, research, exotic, wildlife, and rehabilitation.
The goal is for students to walk away with a better understanding of their future career goals. The animals we work with are those not typically seen in urban environments. During the time spent in ARCSi, students will be encouraged to give back to their community throughout the year.
